More profitable sales for the plant and more commissions for the salesperson.
Accurate Quotes with As-Promised Delivery Our Supply Chain Management solution tests all new orders against the availability of material and capacity. It first nets against finished goods, forecast, WIP, and then raw material availability; it concludes the test by checking for available capacity on constraints.

SCM helps manufacturers:
  • quote the quantity that can be delivered when given a date
  • quote a date when given a quantity
  • validate that they can deliver when given a date and quantity
  • reserve the order's capacity
  • hold the new order for review
  • know the impact on other customer orders before accepting an order with an earlier due date
  • know the “true” profit of each order

To protect themselves, customers sometimes order in larger lots and request earlier delivery dates than are truly needed. With our Supply Chain Management solution, these precautions are no longer necessary. Armed with the ability to accurately quote due dates, the sales force can provide greater value to customers by balancing their material flow. For example, a salesperson can now adjust a quarterly order of 300 units into 3 monthly shipments of 100 units or even 12 weekly shipments of 25 units each - exactly when the customer needs the units. This reduces the customer's inventory investment and benefits the company by smoothing material flow and reducing lead times. With our solution, salespeople soon realize that they are not selling products, but are actually selling plant capacity. They now look for ways to increase sales for items that do not take as much time on the constraints and they reduce discounting on items that take more time on the constraints, resulting in more profitable sales for the plant and more commissions for the salesperson.
